Our Founder
In 2016, Renée launched the Sungazer Pilgrimage, which has since grown exponentially. In 2022, local businesses between Clarens and Fouriesburg approached Renée to create a new Camino, resulting in the Maluti Mountain Camino. The new route quickly became a hit, with all spots fully booked for April and May 2024. Building on the success of these ventures, businesses from QwaQwa reached out to Renée at the 2023 Saamtrek event to develop a cultural Camino in the area - thus, the QwaQwa Camino was born.
Recognizing the need for a more holistic approach to pilgrimages and adventures in the Eastern Free State, Renée sought to integrate focus on the body, mind, and soul. This vision led to the creation of Eastern Free State Pilgrimages and Adventures (Pty) Ltd (EFSPA).
